I must congratulate Ms Francis for creating such a magnificent
multilayered saga that encompasses a convincing grounding in North of
England country life, that is then filled with real characters,
eroticism, corporal punishment, Scifi, and edge of the seat adventure.
I cannot wait for the next instalment; and yet would not want her to
in any way risk lowering her high standards by rushing. 5 out of 5
The Assassin And The Arriving Angels
These are troubled times in Mathomdale. With Julieís troubles still unresolved, Jennifer must protect her from afar by making a pact with the devil and submitting herself to the caress of Baxterís whip in the Low Woods. Yet there is an even greater peril lurking in the valley for Jennifer as she is stalked by a mysterious figure intent upon her murder.
Meanwhile, as the valley gears up for its summer festival, new young slaves, the flotsam of war, are arriving to be bid upon by the ruling houses and terrible secrets are about to be revealed.
This, the tenth volume in Michaela Francisí towering Slaves of the Amethyst series is another journey into the strange and beguiling world of Mathomdale and the vibrant and unforgettable slaves which inhabit it.
